“El 30 de diciembre llegó una nueva comisión del Concejo Municipal con el nuevo alcalde interino, Marcos García, y también llegó una comisión de Casa Presidencial (CAPRES), encabezaba por el señor Kaleff Bonilla, y él decía que iba en representación del señor presidente y se comprometieron desde ese día a empezar a pagar nuestro salarios como nuestras prestaciones, e iban a finalizar (de pagar) el 31 de diciembre y no fue así”, destacó Oseas Ruano, un directivo del sindicato.
A mediados del mes de enero de este 2023, los trabajadores dieron a conocer que la municipalidad canceló la deuda solo a un 80% de los trabajadores de las diferentes áreas de la municipalidad, y al 20% aún le debían salario, bonos y prestaciones.
