De manera inesperada el Presidente de la Asamblea Legislativa, Mario Ponce, decretó receso para la sesión plenaria de este sábado y convocó para el lunes a las nueve de la mañana la continuación. Por lo que hasta ese día se iniciará también el juicio político contra el Presidente de ANDA, Frederick Benítez.
Tras el retorno del receso por el almuerzo, solo se permitió realizar tres preguntas más en la interpelación en contra de la Ministra de Salud. En ese momento, el Presidente de la Asamblea anunció un receso, lo que no fue bien visto por algunos parlamentarios, ya que consideraban que podían continuar trabajando durante este sábado y domingo.
El Grupo parlamentario del FMLN lamentó que se suspendiera la sesión plenaria de este sábado, y denunció que el presidente Mario Ponce no permitió a los parlamentarios hacer su trabajo en cuestionar sobre la problemática del agua que afectó a 1.6 millones de personas.
Rina Araujo, del FML , lamentó la actitud evasiva de la Ministra de Salud, «nos quedamos en shock al ver la incapacidad de la Ministra de Salud, porque a pesar de ver el agua con mal olor, color y sabor, y al preguntarle si estamos ante un crisis de agua, ella dice que no», reprochó.
Tras la salida de la Sesión plenaria, el gabinete de gobierno, encabezado por la Comisionada Presidencial, Carolina Recinos, rechazó el juicio político y aseguró que la Asamblea Legislativa no fue capaz de reunirse para aprobar los fondos para seguridad.
Para este lunes se continuará la interpelación de la Ministra de Salud. Ya que hasta el momento solo ha respondido dos de las 10 preguntas en la etapa de repregunta de los parlamentarios, donde cada grupo parlamentario tiene tres preguntas. Luego continuará el Presidente de ANDA, Frederick Benítez.
