El alguacil del condado Tulare, en California, informó que los investigadores han descartado que un cartel mexicano esté directamente involucrado en la ejecución al estilo del narco de seis miembros de una familia hispana, incluyendo una adolescente de 16 años y su bebé de diez meses.
“Los investigadores consideran en este caso que los pistoleros están relacionados con pandillas en el Valle Central”, dijo el alguacil Mike Boudreaux en una conferencia de prensa el lunes.
Tras los asesinatos, Boudreaux puso en la mesa la hipótesis de que una organización criminal dedicada al tráfico de drogas habría ordenado estos crímenes para enviar “un mensaje”. Más tarde se desdijo.
En la conferencia de este lunes aclaró que en esa región hay operadores del Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) y del de Sinaloa, los cuales “trabajan muy de cerca con las pandillas”.
“Esta fue una ejecución al estilo de un cartel”, dijo el jefe policial. “Las seis víctimas fueron baleadas… Alissa Parraz, de 16 años, y su bebé de 10 meses, Nycholas, recibieron disparos en la cabeza”.
Boudreaux le pidió al gobernador Gavin Newsom que permita que se imponga la pena de muerte cuando se mate a niños pequeños. “Este debe ser un caso de pena de muerte”, subrayó.
Tres días antes de que asesinaran al bebé Nycholas su madre había recuperado su custodia. El Departamento de Servicios Infantiles del Tulare lo tomó bajo su cuidado en el hospital donde nació, al considerar que la adolescente no podía tenerlo. Un tiempo estuvo en un hogar de crianza.
Su ejecución ocurrió alrededor de las 4:00 am del pasado 16 de enero en una propiedad en la comunidad de Goshen, cerca de Visalia, en el Valle Central del estado. Cuando la policía llegó, encontraron al pequeño, sin vida, en los brazos de su madre. Ambos tenían el “tiro de gracia”.
Las otras víctimas son Rosa Parraz, de 72 años; Marcos Parraz, de 19; Eladio Parraz, de 52; y Jennifer Analla, de 50. Rosa Parraz era la bisabuela del bebé Nicolás. Tres personas sobrevivieron a la masacre.
El alguacil dijo que los detectives han logrado avances significativos en la investigación y aseguró que “estamos muy cerca” de poner tras las rejas a dos sospechosos.
“No quiero decir nada que ponga en peligro llevar a estos asesinos de bebés ante la justicia. Lo que digo es que se harán arrestos en la investigación”, agregó.
Colaborando con agentes federales, hay investigadores del condado Tulare que trabajan “las 24 horas del día” en este caso, dijo el funcionario.
“Ha habido muchos giros y vueltas en este caso, pero los investigadores veteranos en este caso, trabajando junto con agentes federales, se sienten muy confiados en esta investigación”, enfatizó.
Para sumar la ayuda del público, las autoridades han elevado la recompensa de 10,000 a 30,100 dólares para quien proporcione información que lleva a la captura de los asesinos de esta familia.
