Un desbloqueo policial-militar de carreteras, que puede agudizar la crisis social, y otro político, que abre la posibilidad remota de llevar las incesantes protestas por una ruta de distensión, concentran hoy las expectativas de los peruanos.
Por una parte, los ministerios de Defensa e Interior anunciaron la decisión de despejar las carreteras bloqueadas desde el 4 de enero en diversos puntos del país, argumentando que son ilegales y sus consecuencias, negativas.
El comunicado anuncia que “la Policía Nacional del Perú, con el apoyo de las Fuerzas Armadas, efectuará el desbloqueo de las carreteras de la Red Vial Nacional que se encuentran declaradas en estado de emergencia”.
“Hacemos un llamado a quienes persisten en estas medidas ilegales a desistir de ello, permitir el desbloqueo pacífico de las vías y evitar enfrentamientos con las Fuerzas del Orden que actuarán en defensa de la legalidad”, en el marco de la constitución, agrega.
El primer ministro, Alberto Otárola, declaró a su vez que el Gobierno apoya a las Fuerzas Armadas y la Policía en el cumplimiento de la tarea de desbloquear las carreteras, “en defensa de la legalidad”, según el citado comunicado.
Por su parte, el jefe del Comando Conjunto de las Fuerzas Armadas, general Manuel Gómez de la Torre, dijo que la necesidad de más tropas para esa misión es el objetivo del traslado de efetivos de regiones cercanas a la de Puno, bastión principal de las protestas.
También ayer, la Coordinadora Nacional de Derechos Humanos presentó un minucioso informe de violaciones de derechos humanos registradas durante las operaciones policiales contra las protestas.
En el plano político, la bancada parlamentaria del partido Fuerza Popular, de la neoliberal Keiko Fujimori, propuso sorpresivamente que las elecciones generales adelantadas se realicen este año y no en abril de 2024, fecha esta aprobada por la mayoría congresal que la agrupación fujimorista integra.
El proyecto plantea que la primera vuelta electoral se realice en diciembre y la segunda posteriormente, de manera tal que de todas maneras la presidenta Dina Boluarte gobierne hasta julio de 2024.
La izquierda y sectores de centro exigen que el nuevo Gobierno y el nuevo Congreso sean elegidos antes y asuman al final de este año El Legislativo tratará el tema hoy en una sesión crucial.
